“Coming from NYC...Finding a true Dominican hair salon in Jersey is hard. Today (Sunday morning) I walked in to this shop to get a cut then a wash and set. I was taken right away as soon as I walked in. Estrella (I think thats her name)took care of me and she was so gentle and kind with me. She was personable and takes her time to know what u want. I’ve been to places that don’t even ask and just do what they want with your hair. Not here! I highly recommend this place.”
— Christine Delgado“I haven't been happy with the service the past few times I have came here. I just got a blowout yesterday and my hair looks bad. The lady that's there is new and you can tell she doesn't have much experience. She is left alone with nobody guiding her either. You have to see the way she wrapped my hair. Horrible. On top of it, they went up in price. I don't mind paying but at least let the service be worth it. I'm very disappointed with them.”
— Frannie Chambers“I went in today for a blowout. I have long curly hair. When I walked in immediately one of the women looked like she was going to dread doing my hair. The woman who I could imagine was the owner, told me $45 when I asked her how much she would charge me for a blowout. The other woman with shorter red hair did not like that price and said something to her under her breath. The owner told me to turn around and she told me ok 50. I said no problem. As she is blowdrying my hair, she is burning my scalp. It still feels burned. My hair smells burned. When she finishes, SHE asks ME what price did she (the owner) give you. (At this point the owner was not there) I said $50 so she said no its not $50 because your hair is long and I had to blow dry it. I was thinking duh thats what I asked for. So I said ok how much and she said 60. To be clear, the money was not the problem. (I was going to give her 60 anyway tip included) but it was the inconsistency in price from what was originally quoted. The blowout was DECENT Ive had way better for less. But they could stand to be friendlier more welcoming and if they blowdry your hair with out burning the scalp that would be great.”
— kelly cruz“I visited the salon on 7/29/21 to get a doobie and trim my ends. 1st the beautician trimmed my hair while wet and we no that’s a big no no, but I proceeded to let her finish because I’m like who am I to question the beautician. I got home and combed my hair down and my hair is VERY uneven. I have long (past my bra) healthy hair so to cut that much and uneven was ridiculous. I went to the shop the next day but the were closed so I came back today 7/31. I spoke with the owner who tried to tell me they were not open that day. Good thing I kept my receipt (which I usually never do) when I showed her the receipt she then changed her story to they didn’t cut it there. I asked her did she think I went home and cut my hair and she said yes smh! No apology or nothing! Honestly that’s all I wanted, at this point it’s nothing I could do my hair is gone. The owner was very rude to me while I’m showing her proof that her stylist did this to me! I showed her before and after pics of my hair. That was very rude and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this salon to a dog!”
